How Git works

Git turns a GitHub repository into a tradeable coin and routes the trading fees back to the people who built it. Anyone can launch one. Only the maintainer can claim the maintainer’s share.

Four steps

1Find a repositorySearch by keyword, by GitHub username, by owner/name, or paste a GitHub URL. Anything public on GitHub can have a coin, and each repository can have exactly one.
2Launch itThe name, description and owner avatar come straight from GitHub, or bring your own image. You sign one message. It is not a transaction and costs nothing: the platform sponsors the gas.
3It tradesThe coin launches on the Pons V2 bonding curve quoted in ETH and appears on the board immediately. When the curve fills, liquidity moves to a Uniswap V4 pool automatically.
4Verify and claimThe repository's owner signs in with GitHub, sets a payout wallet, and receives their accrued share. Nothing expires while a repository is unclaimed — the balance simply waits.

Fees are collected into a wallet the platform derives for each coin, then split and paid on chain. Every split and every payout is recorded on the coin’s page.

What this is not

Git is not affiliated with GitHub, Inc. or the Git project. Launching a coin for a repository does not imply any endorsement by its maintainers, and a coin is not equity, revenue share, or a claim on any project. Maintainers who want nothing to do with it can simply never claim; the share stays unclaimed.
